Cheryl Pearson, DMD,AAACD,FAAID attended The University of North Carolina and the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where she graduated in 1981 with distinction and became a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. She completed a Hospital Residency at Tufts University New England Medical Center in 1982. In 1983 she established a private practice in Lexington, Kentucky enjoying a successful career in general, cosmetic, and rehabilitative dentistry. In 2003 Dr. Pearson became an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and in 2006 with the help and support of Dr. Edward Mills, Dr. Pearson began integrating implant care into her private practice at the same level of quality and precision she delivered cosmetic and restorative patient care. Dr. Pearson became a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry in 2014.
Dr. Pearson served four years as a Member of the Educational Oversight Committee for the AAID and was the chairman of the 2014 Southern District Meeting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She is the past President of the AAID Southern District Caucus and has been appointed as a 2015 member of the Accreditation and Credentialing Board of the AAID. She is an examiner of candidates seeking Associate Fellowship and Fellowship status. She lectures extensively on all zirconia technology, specifically the full arch implant supported Prettau Prosthesis. She co authored an article on the Full Arch Implant Supported All Zirconia Prosthesis published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry Spring 2015 as well as partnered with Pinhas Adar webinar, “The Implant Supported Prettau Prosthesis” on Dental XP.
