Anna-Maria Vierrou obtained her DMD from the Dental School of Athens University and the Certificate in Paediatric Dentistry from the University of Connecticut Health Center, USA. She holds a PhD from the University of Athens. She also holds the National Board Dental Examination of the American Dental Association Part I and II and the American Boards of Pediatric Dentistry Part I.
Anna Maria has been a member of the Board of the IAPD since 2011 serving as Representative of the Nations (2011-2015), President Elect (2015-2017), Chair of Membership Committee(2011-2013), Chair of the IT Committee (2013-2015), Chair of the Awards Committee (2015-2017), member of the Congress Site Selection and Coordination Committee (2011- today). She is currently President of the IAPD.
Dr Vierrou has been President of the Hellenic Society of Paediatric Dentistry (HSPD) for the period 2012-2015, having been in the Board for more than 15 years. She signed the inauguration act of the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (EAPD) in 1990, in Boston, USA and in she has been appointed as Councilor for Greece in 2000-2004, and member of several committees of the Academy.
Dr Vierrou has been appointed as clinical instructor in the Department of Paediatric Dentistry of the University of Athens for ten years. She is the author of several scientific articles published in Greek and international journals and has participated as a speaker moderator and chair in several national and international congresses.
She runs a private practice limited to Paediatric Dentistry in Athens.
